Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets came into the offseason needing to upgrade at the center position. Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo, the two players who occupied the middle the most last season, were both free agents.
The Hornets made a trade for Mason Plumlee from the Detroit Pistons, who played very well during his first season in the Motor City. But, at 31-years old, Plumlee may not be a long-term answer in the middle for Charlotte, but Mo Bamba could be.
Plumlee and Bamba both have experience coming off the bench and splitting time at the center position, so the timeshare wouldn’t be an issue adjusting to it. They are both great fits for the style of play that the Hornets have been operating at with James Borrego as head coach.
The Hornets have their face of the franchise in place in LaMelo Ball at point guard. With Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington at the forward positions, the only thing they are missing is an athletic center to match with them in the frontcourt and Bamba would fit the bill.

With as much offensive firepower as they have, as Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward are still on the roster, Bamba would be afforded to continue honing his shooting skills while doing what he does best; block shots and rebound.
