Would this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Trading Malcolm Brogdon is definitely a move that could be on the table for the Indiana Pacers as they begin a new regime under Rick Carlisle. However, Brogdon seems like a player that Carlisle would love to coach, and money is beginning to dry up across the NBA.
Taking that into account, there aren’t as many teams that can take Brogdon and also send a worthy package for them to part ways with the veteran point guard.
In the event that Indiana wants to start fresh, then getting two young guards in Lewis and Alexander-Walker would make sense.
The Pacers could ask for another first-round pick or two in hopes to have more opportunities to find future cornerstones of the franchise. But if Indiana wants to try to build a roster that can return to the playoffs next season, trading Brogdon for a couple of young guards and picks seems counterproductive.

Once again, both sides may need to wait until November if they want to conduct a trade that makes more sense.
