New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Malcolm Brogdon, 2023 first-round pick (least favorable)
Indiana Pacers Receive: Kira Lewis Jr., Nickeil Alexander-Walker, 2023 first-round pick (most favorable), 2022 second-round pick (via CLE)
Upon the hire of Rick Carlisle as their new head coach, it remains to be seen what the Indiana Pacers plan on doing this offseason. Could they offload some of their starters in hopes to begin building a roster that Carlisle sees fit?
Myles Turner continues to be a player talked about in NBA trade rumors, but Brogdon could also be on the trade block if Indiana is confident in Caris LeVert handling a primary ball-handler role next season.
In this trade, Brogdon would be heading to New Orleans, along with a first-round pick swap in 2023, giving the Pelicans the least favorable pick.
As for the Pacers, they would receive a pair of young guards in Kira Lewis Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Both are on their rookie contracts while Alexander-Walker has a team option in 2022.

Indiana would get the most favorable first-round pick in 2023 from New Orleans, plus a 2022 second-round pick that originally belonged to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Unless the Pelicans wait until they can trade some of their recently acquired players — which isn’t until November — then they don’t have much to offer in trades. Given that, they could possibly include more draft capital if they wanted to get a deal done with the Pacers.
