Would this trade make sense for the New Orleans Pelicans?
The time for Zion Williamson to make a decision on his future with the Pelicans will be here before we know it. Provided that, New Orleans needs to do everything in their power to put together a roster that can compete in the Western Conference.
Getting a point guard like Malcolm Brogdon is a good start as he brings leadership and experience to a young team. Also, Brogdon is a capable off-ball scorer, allowing Ingram and Williamson to be effective with the ball in their hands while Brogdon can get his own in a variety of ways.
If I were New Orleans, I wouldn’t have let Ball depart in free agency, especially for the price that he was given up for. But with Ball gone, the Pelicans could use a point guard that is a formidable defender like Brogdon, who happens to also shoot 38.6 percent from deep.
While New Orleans has a slew of first-round picks to use in the coming years, they’ll want to make sure they aren’t ridding of too many of them as they want to continue finding young talent for the future.

Seeing that the Pelicans want to be a playoff team out West, acquiring Brogdon would be a positive move for the organization.
