Oklahoma City Thunder
Earlier this offseason, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Kemba Walker in a trade with the Boston Celtics. Upon landing Walker, Sam Presti expressed his confidence in Walker being a perfect fit alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the backcourt.
Despite Presti’s thoughts on Walker, the veteran point guard had other plans as he’s since been bought out and signed by the New York Knicks.
While Walker didn’t have intentions to play for a young up-and-coming team like the Thunder, Presti seemingly wants an experienced point guard to form a duo with Gilgeous-Alexander, similar to what Chris Paul did two years ago.
As for Wall, joining Oklahoma City could give him the nudge he needs to revive his career in the NBA. What Wall needs is a team that would love to have him and can give him plenty of minutes, which the Thunder can.
