Los Angeles Clippers Receive: G Terry Rozier
Charlotte Hornets Receive: G Luke Kennard, G/F Terrance Mann, G Rajon Rondo, 2022 Second-Round Pick
If the Los Angeles Clippers are truly looking for more scoring firepower, an intriguing option that stands out is Charlotte Hornets’ Terry Rozier.
Rozier is entering the final year of his current contract and the Hornets just drafted James Bouknight with the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. With the Hornets opting to not bring back Devonte’ Graham, could Charlotte continue the ‘youth movement’ by ultimately option to embrace Bouknight in favor of Rozier?
If that ends up being the case, the Hornets could benefit from investigating trade options for Rozier to capitalize on his value before allowing him to reach free agency next offseason.

Landing a sharpshooter in Luke Kennard from the Clippers would be a solid option to continue to add needed shooting. The Hornets will need perimeter shooting and Kennard is already locked in on a four-year deal that begins during the upcoming season.
Managing to add a young piece in Terrance Mann could be an intriguing option for the Hornets to consider. It would be helpful to add-in Rajon Rondo as a stop-gap option off-the-bench, too.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Terry Rozier would impact both the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers.
