Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
I understand that Philadelphia wants a ransom for Ben Simmons, but given his ineffectiveness in improving as a shooter, his trade value isn’t what it was just a couple of years ago.
In the event that the 76ers want to part ways with Simmons, they’ll need to be more realistic in what they can get for the All-Star guard. The main goal in a Simmons trade should be to add more shooting and scoring around Joel Embiid.
Brandon Ingram is a more-than-capable scorer that has averaged 23.8 points per game on 46.4 percent shooting from the field and 38.6 percent from deep in the past two seasons.
Kira Lewis is an undersized point guard that could evolve into a formidable scorer in the NBA. Adding Ingram would definitely give Philadelphia an exciting scorer on the offensive end that could stretch the floor.

If the 76ers were offered Ingram, Lewis, and a first-round pick swap for Simmons, they should definitely consider completing the move.
