Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?

The Indiana Pacers have been no stranger to trade since last offseason. They had made some moves and been featured in other blockbuster deals. This is not one but it will help the team move in a different direction and get back to where they want to be.

It was an underwhelming season for the Pacers this year as they finish near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. That is something they are trying to avoid this year and could retool the roster around their big names.

There is still plenty of room for the Pacers to make that big-splash trade but this would not allow them to. Brogdon and Sabonis will be able to stay put in a deal like this and be surrounded by players like Finney-Smith and Kleber.

These are strong rotation players that have experience in the postseason with the Mavericks and have strong familiarity with new head coach Rick Carlisle. With the current state of the Eastern Conference, the Pacers have to believe that they can rebuild and contend sooner than later.
