The more and more that time passes, the more likely it seems that Ben Simmons is going to remain a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philadelphia’s reported asking price for Simmons has caused teams to be hesitant to make a move for the former No. 1 overall pick. Regardless of what the 76ers elect to do with Simmons this offseason, they could use more shooting around Joel Embiid.

Philadelphia has re-signed Danny Green and Furkan Korkmaz, and they still have Seth Curry, Tobias Harris, Shake Milton, and Tyrese Maxey to make shots on the perimeter.

Plus, the 76ers added Georges Niang in free agency, giving them another shooter in the frontcourt.

To improve the spacing on the floor — whether Simmons is on the roster or not — Buddy Hield’s ability to score in a variety of ways and shoot 40.6 percent from three-point range in his career would be a massive addition to Philadelphia’s roster.
