Denver Nuggets
At the beginning of free agency, the Denver Nuggets didn’t waste any time in retaining Will Barton. Barton declined his player option for next season, only for him to sign a multi-year deal with the Nuggets.
Even with Denver bringing back Barton, they could use more shooting at their guard spots. With Jamal Murray expected to be sidelined to begin next season, the Nuggets could use as much scoring as they can around Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr., and Barton.
Buddy Hield would fit well alongside Murray in the backcourt once he returns to the court, and Barton could operate in a sixth-man role for the Nuggets.
Also, with Jokic commanding the attention of defenses in the post, Hield would see plenty of wide-open shots on the perimeter.

In an attempt to catch up to the other teams in the Western Conference, Denver should try to add Hield to their backcourt that already features Murray, Barton, Monte Morris, PJ Dozier, and Facundo Campazzo.
