2. Devonte’ Graham, New Orleans Pelicans

This is a spot that says more about the New Orleans Pelicans than it does about Devonte’ Graham. It was not surprising to see the Charlotte Hornets try and move one of their guards from a loaded backcourt.

The Pelicans have been linked to many players to team up with Zion Williamson. When looking at this deal, New Orleans leaves much to be desired.

The Pelicans and Hornets agree to a sign-and-trade deal for Graham. He signed a four-year, $47-million contract with New Orleans. He will now be running the offense along with Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

There have been rumors in the offseason that Williamson might not be interested in sticking around. The front office had to be as aggressive as possible to land a player, but there were some other options out there that might have fit better.

Graham is a young talent that has a chance to turn into something with the Pelicans but he is not there just yet. This move could work out in the later years of the contracts but that is something that will have to be seen.
