1. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers had a disappointing 2020-21 season in large part because of the injuries to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Without those two, the Lakers’ offense, which was already shaky, cratered. Asking a 41-year old to carry an offense is a questionable strategy, but Jamal Crawford would certainly be able to provide some scoring in spot minutes as a reserve.
The Lakers were 22nd in the NBA at 109.5 points per game. Their offensive rating of 109.9 was the worst mark of any playoff team and placed them 24th in the NBA.
We saw the Lakers sign veteran J.R. Smith for the Orlando Bubble and this would be a similar move with Crawford. While they wouldn’t be counted on for major minutes, you know they could offer some production if they were called upon.

After playing on so many losing teams in his career, it would be great to see Crawford end his career with a contending team that has as good of a chance to win an NBA title as the Lakers do.
