3. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks had a wonderful 2020-21 season. The team bought into all of Tom Thibodeau’s principles and schemes, resulting in a 41-31 season and a fourth-place finish in the Eastern Conference. While the team was as stingy as any defensively, they could have used an extra spark offensively.
While the team finished third in defensive rating on the season, they were 23rd in offensive rating. In the playoffs, the need for offense was painstakingly obvious, as the Knicks couldn’t keep up with the Atlanta Hawks despite their best efforts defensively.
The Knicks could already use some more scoring, but that need will increase even more if Derrick Rose and or Alec Burks, their two top guns on the second unit, depart in free agency.
The Knicks have eyes on making some big splashes this offseason, so Jamal Crawford would represent a cheap, veteran option to fill out their bench with.

Crawford spent parts of five seasons with the Knicks and he had some of the most productive seasons of his career. Bringing him back to an improved Knicks team would be a nice way to end his career after the team went through so much turmoil with him there.
