Sacramento Kings Receive: F Pascal Siakam
Toronto Raptors Receive: G/F Buddy Hield, F Marvin Bagley III, SAC 2022 1st Round Pick (Top-7 Protected), SAC 2023 2nd Round Pick

Moving Pascal Siakam would not be hard for the Toronto Raptors to do, as he would draw a significant amount of interest league-wide being a former All-Star, but if the Raptors could get fair return value would be the question left unanswered. In this deal with the Kings, they would get two impactful, relatively young players in Hield and Bagley, as well as two draft picks.

Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III would definitely be two solid additions to the Raptors, especially since they can contribute immediately offensively. Hield has always been known to be a key three-point shooter, shooting 40.6% from deep over the course of his career, but his time in Sacramento seems to be coming to an end.

Sacramento has been fielding trade calls for Hield ever since the start of the 2020-21 season and it seems highly likely that they would be willing to move him and Marvin Bagley III for Pascal Siakam. Bagley is another guy who has been frustrated in his situation with the Kings over the years and with him entering the final year of his contract, Sacramento could very well look to move him at some point during the 2021-22 season.

Getting Pascal Siakam would be a huge step for the Kings in their efforts to finally become relevant and he is definitely the kind of player they should be targeting. They have their backcourt situation figured out with Fox, Haliburton and Mitchell, plus they have Richaun Holmes, Alex Len and likely Tristan Thompson at the center position, assuming this Thompson deal can get done between the Celtics, Kings and Hawks, but they are lacking that extra bit of firepower from a No. 2 type guy.

Pascal Siakam is that No. 2 guy they need on the offensive-end of the floor and they could easily slide him into their power-forward slot next to Holmes in the frontcourt. Having a lineup of Fox, Haliburton, Barnes, Siakam and Holmes definitely raises an eyebrow and could finally ascend the Kings back to the playoffs.

Now, let’s take a look at this deal from both team’s perspectives and see if this is a trade that would make sense for not only the Kings, but the Raptors as well with the way both of their franchises are trending.
