Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?

If the Warriors do this and are able to add Buddy Hield to their roster, there is no reason why they should not be favorites in the Western Conference if they are healthy heading into the playoffs. That is a very bold statement, especially since the Western Conference has the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and others, but this is how good the Warriors would be with this addition of Hield. 

Dealing with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is hard enough for teams and if you add Buddy Hield to the mix… I just do not see how you guard that. Someone is going to be able to get a shot off and it does not take much space at all for one of these guys to drain a three-point shot. 

Losing a first-round pick next year may hurt the Warriors, on top of their massive tax bill, but chasing championships is what this organization has on their mind. In order to do so though, they have to be willing to sacrifice. 

If Joe Lacob and Peter Guber are willing to invest even more millions of dollars into this team, then they can win their fourth championship in an eight year span. It really is not crazy to believe that Hield could come to Golden State and help them win a championship during the 2021-22 season.

Stephen Curry was the best player in the league last season and with a full season with Andrew Wiggins on the wing, Klay Thompson back, James Wiseman in his second season and now Buddy Hield as another high-level shooter, the Warriors would have to be the best team in the Western Conference, arguably the best team in the league. 

This trade makes sense for Golden State on paper, but money-wise, this would be a huge liability for them. Nobody knows what is going to happen with Kelly Oubre Jr. but if the Warriors can turn him into Buddy Hield, then they will contend for a championship during the 2021-22 season.
