Wins Sixth Man of the Year Award
Carmelo Anthony has earned plenty of accolades during his basketball career. He is a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, 10-time All-Star and has made an All-NBA Team six times. Anthony has one scoring title to his credit and finished third in the MVP voting during the 2012-13 season.
This season with the Los Angeles Lakers he is hoping to add another accolade to his resume and become an NBA Champion. But, he will earn some individual awards along the way, as he will win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2021-22 season.
Anthony finished seventh in the voting for the award last season and should be able to vault his way toward the top this season. Playing for the Lakers will help, as people will notice more how well he is playing than being in the northwest with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Los Angeles will also be one of the best teams in the NBA this season and their players will be recognized as so with some hardware of their own.
