Plays In Every Game
Carmelo Anthony has played in every game of the season only once in his career and that came during his rookie season. He has battled some nagging injuries throughout the years, but he has been pretty durable when it is all said and done.
In the last two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, has missed only five games total. That kind of durability is something the Lakers need, as they were hammered by injuries last season.
LeBron James missed 27 games during the regular season. Anthony Davis missed 36 and got injured during the team’s first-round series with the Phoenix Suns as well. There wasn’t a single Laker that played in 70 games last season, as they had to constantly shuffle their lineups with players in and out on an almost nightly basis.
That won’t be an issue with Anthony this season, as he will play in every game this season. Not having the pressure of carrying a franchise and just being a role player will help him stay fresh throughout the season and be able to play every night.
