Does this trade make sense for the Phoenix Suns?

Chris Paul has helped take the Phoenix Suns to that championship level. That will continue as long as he is in town and even beyond as there is now a winning culture. Phoenix could be looking to stay near the top in the future by adding another young talent.

Towns was taken with the No. 1 overall pick in 2015. This is the same year that the Suns landed Booker, who was miraculously a bench piece for that Wildcats’ team. They would reunite in the NBA with a chance to make some noise.

Towns is the prototypical big man for today’s league. He can dominate down low or score from the perimeter. Phoenix has featured a strong inside presence this season and Towns would take that to the next level.

For as effective as Deandre Ayton has been as a play finisher for the Suns, Towns brings a far more dynamic element into the mix. He could help to alleviate pressure off Devin Booker in ways that the current supporting cast just simply cannot.
