Kyle Lowry Goes Back Home
The Toronto Raptors came very close to trading away the most accomplished player in franchise history in Kyle Lowry at the NBA trade deadline. He was garnering a lot of attention, but a deal was ultimately not made.
Lowry will once again have a lot of suitors in free agency, and this time, a deal will get made. The Villanova product will return home and land with the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason.
The 76ers were closest to acquiring Lowry at the NBA trade deadline and will make it count this time. The teams have been in discussions about a Ben Simmons trade, so a Lowry sign-and-trade could be something that is considered here.
Lowry would bring a third scorer to the 76ers behind Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris. He would not be the drag on their offense that Simmons has been in the postseason, which far exceeds the difference between Simmons and Lowry as defenders.

Lowry is more than capable of holding his own on defense and would give Philadelphia an excellent two-way player. Depending on the deal that is worked out, the 76ers could get even more depth to fill out their roster in this transaction.
