2. Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Dallas Mavericks reportedly held some trade discussions with the Golden State Warriors before the NBA Trade Deadline. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Mavericks approached the Warriors about a swap centered around Kristaps Porzingis and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Mark Cuban denied that there were any trade discussions involving Porzingis and no deal was consummated. But, Oubre is now a free agent and the Mavericks could once again pursue him, this time without having to surrender any assets.
Kelly Oubre Jr. would slot right into one of the Mavericks’ starting forward spots. He can play either small forward or power forward, as he thrived at the four with the Phoenix Suns. Dorian Finney-Smith and Oubre would make for a versatile forward combination if the team decides to start Porzingis at the center.
The former Kansas Jayhawk is only 25-years old, so he fits the timeline with their current franchise cornerstones. His scoring ability would complement Luka Doncic well and give Dallas another weapon should the team lose Tim Hardaway Jr. in free agency. If he could find some consistency with his 3-point shot, his offensive game would go to another level.

Defensively, Kelly Oubre Jr. isn’t a star but he would be an upgrade for a Mavericks team who has failed to stop much of anyone on defense in recent years.
