Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers were the first team reported to have made an offer to the 76ers for Ben Simmons. The Pacers reportedly offered Malcolm Brogdon and the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft for him but were turned down.
While they may have been turned down the first time, there are plenty of reasons that the Pacers should continue pursuing a trade for Simmons. His defense is something that would come in handy in Indiana.
The Pacers have a solid core of players with Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, T.J. Warren and Brogdon. Outside of Turner’s rim protection, that unit could use some on the defensive end of the court and Simmons would provide that.
There is also enough scoring already in place that Simmons’ lack of impact putting the ball in the basket wouldn’t be felt as well. If they felt they did need more offense, the often speculated trade of Turner could bring that back.

Philadelphia has little need for Turner, but a deal built around Brogdon is a good starting point. Would the team be willing to include LeVert in Simmons’s trade talks? If they are, that might get things rolling on a possible Simmons trade.
