Miami Heat Receive: G Kemba Walker
Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: G Kendrick Nunn (sign-and-trade), F Andre Iguodala, 2025 First-Round Pick
In this deal, the Thunder made a bit of a splash in free agency, signing Kendrick Nunn away from the Miami Heat. As a restricted free agent, Miami would have the right to match any offer that Nunn signs. Instead of matching the offer, they expand this into a sign-and-trade deal to land Walker in Miami.
Nunn will be 26 in August but would give the Thunder a solid player at the point guard position to pair with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the backcourt. He was very productive for the Heat this season, averaging 14.6 points on 48.5 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from the 3-point line.
The former Illinois and Oakland product also added 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Having even more opportunities with the Thunder should produce even better numbers, as Nunn could push toward 20 points and six assists per game.
Andre Iguodala would likely not report to the Thunder, as he did with the Memphis Grizzlies before the Heat acquired him. But, his player option will be picked up and used to help match Walker’s salary.
