Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Myles Turner (via IND)
Finding a way to get a three-team deal done between the Pacers, Rockets and Hornets around Myles Turner could end up being tough, but this is actually a very intriguing deal for all sides. Turner is a name that has come up in trade rumors for years now and it seems like every single offseason the Pacers are looking to move him.
With Myles Turner gaining more and more interest from plenty of teams around the league, there is actually a real belief that he could be traded during Thursday’s draft and the Charlotte Hornets are definitely a team that has a lot of interest in the stretch big man.
With Cody Zeller being a free agent and the Hornets having close to $30M in cap space, they will be looking to spend a decent amount of money on a valuable big man this offseason, which is why they could be willing to sacrifice their No. 11 overall pick to get a guy like Myles Turner. In this trade package, they would also have to trade both of their late second-round picks and last year’s 42nd overall pick in Nick Richards, but this is not really a loss for Charlotte.
The Hornets 2022 first-round pick would also be on the move and go to the Pacers, but it would be protected Top-10. As for the Pacers, they have been in talks with the Rockets on a deal that would send the No. 13 pick to Houston for Eric Gordon and either the No. 23 pick or No. 24 pick.

Including this potential deal with a trade that would send Myles Turner to the Hornets could definitely make sense for all parties involved, especially to make things easier cap wise for everyone. The Rockets want to dump Eric Gordon for draft assets, the Pacers are interested in getting another draft pick and they are interested in moving Myles Turner, which is why this trade makes sense for all three teams.
Three first-round picks and Eric Gordon for Turner is definitely great value for the Indiana Pacers and the Charlotte Hornets could really be interested in sacrificing some assets to land him. Expect to see Turner’s name come up in trade talks over the next week if he is not traded during the draft.
