Does this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?
The Washington Wizards would be faced with an intriguing possibility after completing an NBA trade scenario of this kind centered around Bradley Beal. The team would add helpful veterans around Russell Westbrook, a player who has shown to be quite effective as the lone superstar on a team.
One of the more glaring issues the Wizards have faced during the Bradley Beal era has been a stunningly bad half-court defense. There is no rim protector or on-ball defenders that can contain dribble penetration. The goal would be that Onyeka Okongwu can at least be the versatile interior defender they have sorely lacked.
Bogdan Bogdanovic would fill the role of being the main complementary playmaker that can knock down open shots when they come his way and make plays off-the-dribble. This role alongside Westbrook has led to struggling results for players like Victor Oladipo, who aren’t true off-the-ball threats in the sense that they absolutely thrive doing it as opposed being capable at times.
Perhaps most intriguing of all would be the addition of De’Andre Hunter, who would be the long-term answer on the wing the Wizards have simple failed to find. The Wizards would basically field an entirely new starting lineup around Russell Westbrook by adding a new two-guard, wing, and center.

The Wizards would benefit from receiving draft assets that can be used to continue to add young talent into the mix. Rui Hachimura would develop into being a very intriguing talent if he can consistently convert from deep while Deni Avdija hasn’t had much of a chance to get going yet either.
