Besides the Clippers, the other team in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Lakers, would be another ideal fit for Derrick Rose in free agency.

For the first time in his playoff career, LeBron James was unable to escape the first round this season, losing to the Phoenix Suns. Injuries to both James and Anthony Davis derailed the season for the Lakers, but they aren’t a team to forget about come next season.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis have an entire offseason to get their bodies healthy, and Los Angeles is going to make some alterations to the roster.

Dennis Schroder is a free agent for the Lakers, and he could price himself out of Los Angeles this summer. Finding a replacement that is a better fit than Schroder around James and Davis needs to be the primary focus for the Lakers.

Rose wouldn’t be the splash move that some fans in Los Angeles want, but he would be an excellent fit in Los Angeles. The former MVP would get plenty of wide-open threes (no defender within 6+ feet), in which he made 46.4 of them this season.

Getting a point guard that can operate the offense, become the third-scoring option, space the floor, and hit clutch shots is exactly what the Lakers could use next season.
