Does this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?
It has been quite some time since the New York Knicks had that star power in the lineup. As good of a year as Randle had, winning the league’s Most Improved Player, he is not that name that can lead the team to a championship without help.
The Knicks have a strong core in place and now it is about building around it. This needs to happen at the point-guard position but they need help in the frontcourt as well. Taj Gibson is not a long-term piece and we have seen that Mitchell Robinson cannot stay healthy.
If he ever does, that is a huge boost to the unit. Enter Bojan Bogdanovic. He is the type of player that the Knicks need. He brings great size and versatility along with toughness and experience.
Bogdanovic can score from the perimeter and use his size to compete down low. This is a player that can space the floor and create more room within the offense.

The Knicks are going to enter next season with expectations. This has not happened in nearly a decade. Those expectations can only grow if the front office continues to add some productive players in the rotation.
