Orlando Magic
It has been widely reported that the Golden State Warriors are looking to add an established veteran to their team and are using their lottery selections as trade compensation. If they are unable to find what they are looking for, the Orlando Magic would present an interesting possibility.
The Magic signaled to the rest of the NBA that they were heading for a rebuild when they traded away Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon at the deadline. Orlando has the fifth and eighth overall picks in this year’s draft, but what if they could add a third one?
Golden State could target Terrence Ross from the Magic as a veteran upgrade to their second unit that brings a ton of scoring punch, some defensive versatility and improving playmaking. The Warriors could target him and the 5th overall pick in the draft in exchange for the seventh and 14th picks.
With the fifth overall pick, the Warriors would target Scottie Barnes out of Florida State. Barnes’s immediate impact will be on defense, but he would give Golden State another building block for the future once their current core moves on.

A deal with the Magic would pay off right now and help the organization down the road, a best of both worlds transaction for Golden State.
