Buddy Hield
Last year, there were rumors that the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks were having discussions centered around Buddy Hield and Julius Randle. Fast forward to the present day, and that deal would no longer be feasible, as Randle looks like a building block for the Knicks. However, the need for Hield still persists.
Hield would be a great complement to Randle and RJ Barrett in the starting five. His floor-spacing would help elevate the team’s offensive rating, as he is a 40.6 career 3-point shooter. The 39.1 percent he shot this past season is still a very good number but was the lowest of Hield’s career.
The former Oklahoma Sooner has also shown improvement as a playmaker. With De’Aaron Fox sidelined down the stretch of the season, Buddy Hield assumed the role as the team’s lead initiator on offense and handled it well.
For a team that doesn’t rely solely on its point guard to lead the offense, having other good playmakers is a necessity.

The most intriguing thing about acquiring Hield is his contract. It decreases by about $2 million every season, making him an even more valuable player over time. Buddy Hield will be paid just over $18.5 million in the final year of his contract, making him a valuable asset.
