Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers could be in search of some reinforcements for their bench this offseason. Point guard T.J. McConnell and forward Doug McDermott are two key cogs in the Pacers’ bench and are both entering unrestricted free agency.
While they would like to retain at least one, if not both, of them, it could prove difficult.
The Pacers does not want to cross the luxury tax line if they afford to. If they losing McDermott, acquiring someone like Terrence Ross would make sense.
Ross could help offset the loss of McDermott’s scoring punch, giving Indiana’s second unit their new go-to scorer. While Ross is showing improvements with the ball in his hands, he is still someone that benefits from having a good playmaker and Indiana has plenty, even if McConnell departs.

The Pacers could use the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft as the centerpiece of a deal heading back to Orlando. Indiana is seeking a player who could help them win now with two or more years left on their contract in any deals involving the 13th pick and Ross fits that bill.
