Ben Simmons

The 2021 postseason may have been the dagger in ‘The Process’ for the Philadelphia 76ers. Ben Simmons’ disappearing act in the playoffs occurred again and it might be time for the organization to shake things up using a major trade.

The 76ers would be looking to add pieces that better fit around their all-world center, Joel Embiid. While Ben Simmons’ value would seemingly be as low as it would ever be this offseason, Philadelphia has reportedly begun shopping him in trade talks.

The price for him is high, as the 76ers are hoping to receive an All-Star level player in return. The team could also be looking for more draft capital that would enable them to facilitate another deal to further upgrade the roster.

Of all of the All-Stars from last season, Ben Simmons seems the likeliest to be involved in a trade during the 2021 NBA Draft. The writing was on the wall with comments that head coach Doc Rivers and Embiid made following the team’s second-round exit from the playoffs.
