Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?

The Denver Nuggets would be surrendering a lot of their depth in this deal, and a bright young star in Michael Porter Jr., but it is a deal they would probably do 10/10 times. When you have the chance to turn into a legitimate title contender, you have to take it.

With this deal, the Nuggets would have a Big 3 of Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and Bradley Beal that would rival any Big 3 in the NBA. Offensively, even the best opposing defense would have no answers for them.

All three players can get a bucket at will and it would come from anywhere on the court. The three of them are also excellent playmakers, so it would be poetry in motion on offense.

While that trio doesn’t offer much in terms of defense, defensive-minded veterans would line up for the chance to play with them knowing they have a real shot at winning a ring.

Denver does have Aaron Gordon as a versatile weapon defensively that would complement those three players well. Gordon has yet to realize his offensive potential, but as the fourth option, he could do some damage with teams giving so much attention elsewhere.

Denver would instantly vault to the top of the Western Conference with this deal and become one of, if not the favorite for the NBA Championship next season.
