San Antonio Spurs: G Malcolm Brogdon
Indiana Pacers: G Dejounte Murray and No. 12 pick
The San Antonio Spurs are already set up well in the back courts with Dejounte Murray and Keldon Johnson. In this trade, they would add an all-star caliber guard in Malcolm Brogdon, but would have to part ways with one of their younger players. This clearly makes it seem like the Spurs believe they are in win-now mode.
Murray would be the player going back to the Indiana Pacers in this NBA trade scenario. Indiana would also get the 12th-overall pick in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft. This would give the team two picks in the lottery.
The Spurs face a need to add more dynamic players to build around, especially with DeMar DeRozan potentially departing in free agency. Malcolm Brogdon could help in this regard.
It’s rare for the Pacers to hold a selection within range of the NBA Draft Lottery and it would be rather unprecedented for them to have two. Indiana would have a newfound set of assets to move up into the top 10 of the 2021 NBA Draft order if desired.

Murray still has room to grow as a player and is on a considerably cheaper contract than Brogdon. As the Pacers look to reconfigure its roster, a change of this nature could be quite intriguing.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit both side right away.
