Bad Fit: Minnesota Timberwolves
Hopefully, at some point soon, we see Karl-Anthony Towns get an opportunity to showcase his talents elsewhere. Towns is being wasted away on the Minnesota Timberwolves as the organization attempts to surround him with a better supporting cast.
Minnesota made it clear recently that they view D’Angelo Russell as a key piece in them becoming a playoff contender in the Western Conference.
Some would say that if the Timberwolves want Damian Lillard, they’d need to give up Russell. But what if they were able to pull off a trade by ridding of their other young players and a bundle of draft picks?
Lillard wouldn’t be a great fit alongside Russell, as Russell is at his best when he’s handling the ball the majority of the time.
