The Philadelphia 76ers look like they could be heading for a shake-up of their roster ahead of the 2021-22 season. After yet another disappointing end to their season, as they lost in seven games to the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the NBA playoffs, something has to give.
A lot of people have pointed out Ben Simmons as being the reason the team lost. Simmons’ lack of offensive production hurt Philadelphia and has become a troubling trend in the postseason.
With his lack of shooting, Simmons clogs up things for the 76ers in the halfcourt. His unwillingness to even shoot the ball late in games hurts as teams can focus their attention elsewhere defensively with no worries of him hurting them.
As a result, many people believe Simmons could be on the move this offseason as the 76ers reshape their roster. They have reportedly begun engaging teams in trade talks centered around him and will receive a ton of interest.
