Does this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?
The Miami Heat will have some decisions to make this offseason. Duncan Robinson is said to be a free agent and Tyler Herro has been thrown around in some deals. This means they will exhaust all options in hopes of climbing back up the standings to where they want to be.
That includes Jimmy Butler. He still has great value around the lake and could get a large return in the lineup. Before the 32-years-old inks a massive contract extension, now would be the opportune time to move him via an NBA trade scenario.
Bogdan Bogdanovic is a guard that can solidify the backcourt for the Heat. De’Andre Hunter and Onyeka Okongwu are young prospects looking to take the next step. Miami is interested in proving a point-guard position and give them that big-name star at the top of the offense.
This is where Bogdanovic would fit in right away and give them an extra boost. The Heat have a history of making big-time moves in hopes of winning championships. This will not be the first time we see this over the years and certainly will not be the last.

After being swept in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, the Heat need to come to the realization that title contention is not a possibility. The team peaked in the NBA Bubble and now has the pay big money to retain role players without having the foundational pieces to win it all.
