Gordon Hayward’s injury woes have continued
Another reason why a Gordon Hayward trade would be less-than-ideal for the Warriors is because Hayward hasn’t been a model for health in recent seasons.
Over the past two years, Hayward missed 20 games with the Boston Celtics in 2019-20, and he proceeded to miss 28 games in his first year with the Hornets this season.
Furthermore, in the past four seasons, Hayward has missed a combined 139 games due to injuries, including his 81-game absence in 2017-2018 stemming from a season-ending knee injury.
With injuries being a legitimate concern, taking on Hayward’s contract is extremely risky for the Warriors. And the fact that Hayward turned 31 years old this year and isn’t getting any younger makes it even dicier for Golden State.

The Warriors would be best turning their attention to another veteran player on the trade market this offseason.
