Miami Lands All-Star Player

When big-name players hit free agency or pop up in NBA trade rumors, the Miami Heat are mentioned as a landing spot. Usually, they pull it off as well.

They were able to land Shaquille O’Neal to pair with Dywane Wade to win a championship. When they created the Big 3 with LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining Wade, no one saw it coming and more titles ensued. They landed Jimmy Butler and made another NBA Finals trip. This offseason, they will do it again with hopes of making another title run.

There are three players that would qualify for this’ Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry and Damian Lillard. Miami has been connected to all three and they will land at least one of them.

Could Miami convince Kawhi Leonard to leave the LA Clippers for South Beach? If Leonard says he wants to team up with someone again, as he did with the Clippers, could the Heat swing a trade for Lillard with their remaining assets?

If those moves are too rich for Miami’s blood, Kyle Lowry would represent a great addition to the team without costing anything more than cap space. His defense is much needed in the backcourt and he would take a lot of pressure off of Butler offensively.
