Does this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?
Jerami Grant has two years left on his contract and it is going to take the Detroit Pistons more time to rebuild. They just saw Grant put up his best statistical season which means it is the perfect time to trade him.
A rebuilding team like Detroit should be interested in adding assets and that is what they would be able to do here. Saddiq Bey was just named to the All-Rookie team. Killian Hayes was a top-10 pick in last year’s draft. The goal of the Pistons is to get younger and they are doing just that.
Now, they could trade Grant in hopes of adding some first-round picks to get more intriguing prospects.
Right now, Grant is worth that because of his versatile skill set. The players in this deal can help right away but it is all about the draft picks that Detroit would be getting.

It is going to be a long road for the Pistons. They have been down for awhile and there does not seem to be an end in sight. All the front office can do is make deals and how they work out in the end.
