Does this trade make sense for the Memphis Grizzlies?

Jaren Jackson Jr. was taken with the fourth-overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft but the Grizzlies might still not be believers. He has shown signs of improving since entering the league but Memphis could be worried about his durability. This showed during the regular season and the front office has legitimate concerns.

This could be the reason that he is moved. Jackson Jr. is a big that would benefit many teams if he is able to remain on the floor. In return, Memphis would need a replacement forward. Wiseman is a young option with a high ceiling that could take over in the post.

There is more control with Wiseman than there is with Jackson Jr. Morant is a point guard that could help Wiseman mature and develop at a quick pace in the league. When looking at the situation, if Memphis is worried about Jackson Jr.’s health, it would make sense to move him for a younger option.

If there is hesitancy when it comes to committing to paying big money to Jackson Jr., finding an intriguing talent to pair with Ja Morant would be the right way to go with the situation. Wiseman could certainly be that particular talent.
