Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?

James Wiseman played in 39 games for the Warriors this season. He averaged just 21.4 minutes per game and scored 11.5 points per game. It was an up-and-down rookie season for Wiseman and the Warriors could look to take advantage of the value surrounding their big man for a more-proven commodity.

Jackson Jr. suffered a torn meniscus this season which limited him to just 11 games. Since entering the league, he has improved from all three levels on the offensive end of the floor. He shot a career-best 39.4% from three-point range last year in 57 games.

At this point, Jackson Jr. looks more like a win-now big man than Wiseman. This is something that the Warriors should be interested in given their opportunity to win right away.

Jackson Jr. fits into the game plan for the Warriors which is play fast and get up a lot of shots from beyond the arc. Alongside Draymond Green in the frontcourt, the ability to stretch the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers vital. Pairing that with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson would make for quite an intriguing overall cast of threats from deep.

This NBA trade scenario would help them right away once the next season begins if Jackson Jr. is at full health. The Warriors would need to be willing to pay a huge payroll unless they were willing to dump one of their core players.
