Bulls have what lacked previously in Chicago
When Rose was the face of the franchise for the Bulls, they were never able to get over the hump. A lot of that had to do with LeBron James, but the team’s shortcomings played a part as well.
Chicago had strong rosters, with players such as Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah. But, throughout his tenure in Chicago, people clamored for the team to add an explosive shooting guard alongside him or a versatile big man.
Low and behold, the Bulls now have both in the form of All-Stars Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.
While Rose isn’t exactly on the same timeline, the move to acquire Vucevic is a sign that Bulls management wants to start winning sooner than later. It would be nice to see him back in Chicago with an improved roster that is looking to make an impression in the Eastern Conference.

Rose would slide right into the backup guard role, similar to what he was doing with the Knicks when he played so well. That also leads us to the second reason the Bulls should pursue Rose.
