Spencer Dinwiddie
Early in the 2020-21 season, Spencer Dinwiddie sustained a season-ending knee injury. The Brooklyn Nets would lose a prominent piece of their team in Dinwiddie as the former second-round pick was in a contract year.
Dinwiddie has developed into a solid point guard in recent years due to earning more playing time. Just last season, Dinwiddie registered 20.6 points and 6.8 assists per game for the Nets. It’s unlikely that Brooklyn has the money to retain Dinwiddie, and there are reports that Dinwiddie wants to play in Los Angeles.
Regardless of whether or not those reports are true, Dinwiddie’s time with the Nets seems to be coming to a close.
DeMar DeRozan
Ever since DeMar DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade, he seemed out of place on the Spurs. Nevertheless, he had three productive years in San Antonio, putting himself in a position for a decent contract this summer.
This season, DeRozan recorded 21.6 points and a career-high 6.9 assists per game in a small-ball power forward role. By being utilized as a power forward, some teams may increase their interest in DeRozan, even with his outside shooting being a massive question mark.

DeRozan lives in the mid-range and there are going to be quite a few teams looking to ink a deal with the USC product. Similar to Dinwiddie, a chance to play near home in Los Angeles is a possibility for DeRozan.
