This trade would be centered on Pascal Siakam going to the Dallas Mavericks, which means the Mavs would have to send some more pieces away. Kristaps Porzingis would be the biggest name going to the Toronto Raptors in this NBA trade scenario but he would not be on his own.
The idea of pairing Doncic and Siakam is something that should excite Mavericks’ fans in the offseason. He would be the pick-and-roll partner that Porzingis never managed to become.
Perhaps most troubling of all for the Mavericks has been the regression on defense Porzingis has experienced after his recent injuries. Siakam would bring improvement in this area and that would help Dallas immensely given how limiting it was in the playoffs.
