Los Angeles Lakers
It was a rare first-round exit from a LeBron James-led squad this season with the Los Angeles Lakers losing to the Phoenix Suns.
While the Suns deserve props for making a run to the NBA Finals, the Lakers were hobbling down the stretch with injuries to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. With an entire offseason for LeBron James and Anthony Davis to get healthy, Los Angeles needs to focus on bolstering the roster around their superstar duo.
Finding a point guard, especially with Dennis Schroder possibly on his way out, should be a priority for the Lakers in the coming months. Fred VanVleet would be a perfect trade candidate for Los Angeles due to his efforts on both ends of the floor.
The Wichita State product can be productive in catch-and-shoot situations, making him a consummate fit alongside James and Davis for the Lakers.

VanVleet can also gives the Lakers someone else that can handle the ball and orchestrate the offense, allowing James and Davis to lighten their workloads at times.
