Philadelphia 76ers
It was yet another season that ended in disappointment for the Philadelphia 76ers. Everything seemed tailored for the 76ers to have a smooth ride to the NBA Finals, only for the team to collapse in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Atlanta Hawks.
The lack of contributions that Ben Simmons made on the offensive end was a major reason why the 76ers were bounced earlier than expected.
Unless Simmons finally makes the necessary adjustments to his game as a shooter, then finding a new point guard needs to be of the utmost importance this offseason.
Preferably, the 76ers would love to add someone that can shoot the ball efficiently, giving Joel Embiid more room to operate on the floor.

By acquiring Fred VanVleet, the 76ers would be getting a point guard that instills toughness to the roster, and a point guard that fits ideally around the pieces they already have in place.
