New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are clear candidates to trade up and there are a few reasons. The Knicks grabbed the fourth seed in the postseason but were eliminated in five games by the Atlanta Hawks. It was a disappointing finish for the Knicks but fans have to be happy with what they saw.

Ultimately, the Knicks need more and that was clear in the postseason. Julius Randle had an All-Star season but he is not the No. 1 option for a team looking to contend. He is a nice piece but the Knicks need players around him. The same can be said about RJ Barrett.

New York has some role players but needs to make big improvements moving forward.

New York currently has two first-round picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, with one coming from the Dallas Mavericks in the Kristaps Porzingis deal. The Knicks are full of assets and that is something that has not been said for quite some time. The front office has to take advantage of this and set the team up for success.
