Does this trade make sense for the Orlando Magic?
Just like it is beneficial for a player to have a fresh start, it could also work well for the team. Mo Bamba has not seen success in Orlando and the front office could be growing impatient.
If there is still any value, this is something that the Magic should look to take advantage of right away. This is not to say that they will get a star or a first-round pick back in return, but they could head some pieces that will help them rebuild immediately.
Maxi Kleber and Tyrell Terry could be rotation players with an extended role if the depth chart plays out in such a way that has a need. If Orlando is looking to move them in another deal, they will also get a second-round pick to throw in.
The Magic moved names like Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier at the NBA trade deadline. They could continue to be aggressive in sending players away soon enough. Let’s not forget, the team already has Wendell Carter Jr. who could be a more intriguing center option than Mo Bamba.
