New Orleans Pelicans Receive: G Russell Westbrook
Washington Wizards Receive: G Eric Bledsoe, G Kira Lewis Jr., 2021 first-round pick, and 2023 first-round pick
It’s safe to say that the New Orleans Pelicans don’t have a roster that is prepared to compete for a title just yet. However, they do have pieces on the roster that make it an intriguing destination for certain players.
Entering the offseason, Lonzo Ball is a restricted free agent. But if the Pelicans don’t believe he’s a long-term solution at point guard, then they could let him walk. To replace Ball, New Orleans could bring in an exciting point guard in Westbrook to pair with their duo of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
The Wizards would receive veteran Eric Bledsoe and a young guard in Kira Lewis Jr. from the Pelicans as part of the package for Westbrook. Washington would also get two first-round picks, especially since New Orleans would welcome the idea of ridding of Bledsoe’s contract.

They would be absorbing an expensive contract in Westbrook, but the Pelicans would also be getting a triple-double machine. Also, with NBA rumors surrounding Williamson’s future with the organization, getting Westbrook could convince him to stay.
A trio of Westbrook, Ingram, and Williamson would be must-watch television next season.
