Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors have a history of making big moves in the offseason. We all remember when they went out to sign Kevin Durant. This would not be that caliber of move, but it would still give the Warriors another star to build a big three.

As long as the Warriors are led by Stephen Curry, they will be contending for a title. With that being said, the front office still needs to put some pieces around their all-time great point guard. Klay Thompson coming back after two years is like signing a big free agent.

A player with postseason experience like Jimmy Butler would be extremely beneficial in a difficult Western Conference and Golden State could take advantage of that.

There would be a lot of defensive versatility for the Warriors by pairing up Jimmy Butler with Draymond Green out on the perimeter. When Green slides over to the small ball five spot, Butler can be an incredible option at the four role. The switching capabilities would be tremendous.

Executing a Jimmy Butler trade would solidify the backcourt along with the Splash Brothers. Golden State will be back next season and it will be extremely entertaining to watch if they add another big name.
