Toronto Raptors
If you’re Kawhi Leonard, why not return somewhere you have already had success at? The Toronto Raptors are an interesting team to consider as a possible destination for Leonard if he elects to sign elsewhere this offseason.
Back in 2019, Leonard led the Raptors to the franchise’s first NBA title, dethroning the Golden State Warriors amid injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. Nevertheless, Leonard’s one season with Toronto was a massive success, and they still have a formidable roster.
Even if Kyle Lowry leaves in free agency, the Raptors have a roster that comprises of Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, and Chris Boucher.
Also, maybe the idea of Leonard returning to Toronto is enough for Lowry to re-sign with the team this offseason. It would definitely be tough for the Raptors to make a contract for Leonard work, but they could move some pieces around to fit him in again.
